About Club Volleyball

Genesis Athletics competes in the Volleyball BC Club Volleyball Season. The BC club season runs from December to May – club tryouts start in November.

In line with Volleyball Canada's Development Matrix, we emphasize athlete development in the long-term. Program costs / travel for the program increases with age / commitment (more details to come shortly).

U11 - U14 (Grades 5 - 8)

There is no better place for your child to start their volleyball journey! With experienced coaches, technical development, lots of gameplay, and a welcoming, supportive environment!

Local Gameplay

Two local Volleyball BC Regional competitions, and then entry into the bi-weekly Kelowna Summit Series volleyball league. The season culminates with the Volleyball BC Provincials in Abbotsford BC!

Lots of Fun

The emphasis of our U11 - U14 volleyball teams is to "learn to compete" - building their foundational volleyball skills in a supportive environment. We want kids to be able to push themselves and find success in competitions!

Technical Basics

Two local practices weekly, usually one on Sunday afternoon and a weekday. One practice is co-led by one of our top coaches to ensure proper technique is established early!

U15 - U18 (Grades 9 - 12)

There is no better place for your child to play out their club volleyball journey! We have a focused technical development team, are intentional about competition and gameplay, and always feature a welcoming, supportive environment!

Intentional Travel

As teams age, they enter into roughly one competition a month. The focus moves to intentional travel, where competitions might be farther (Lower Mainland, Alberta) with the focus of better gameplay.

Looking Beyond Club Volleyball

At Genesis we are passionate about giving our players the opportunity to pursue volleyball at a higher level. As part of our club program we help athletes in thier journey to move to university volleyball and beyond.

Elite Training

For our U15 - U18 teams we emulate the same training that . That means weekly positional practices, strength training, sports psych sessions, and experts like Arm Swing Academy coming to run focused clinics with our athletes.
